2022

The 8th Annual PlayNow Foodtruck Wars Street Festival was held on August 4, 5 & 6 in downtown Saskatoon. Our family and pet friendly festival included –food trucks, food trailers & food booths and attracted over 35,000 festival visitors. Our great line-up of food trucks, food trailers, and food booths offered a wide variety of food, dessert, and beverage choices throughout the festival.

The festival included a pet water station, street market vendors, a Bartari video game lounge, information booth, cultural entertainment and a table seating area.

We were pleased to announce that PlayNow signed on as our Title Sponsor. With their generous support, we are hoping to build an even better festival for 2023!

We welcomed new dance groups and musical acts this year: The Bravo Dance Co., Blakey School of Irish Dance, The Bambooslers, Skelvis Parsley and Bryce King and the Spicy Enchiladas!

The 2022 PlayNow Foodtruck Wars was dedicated to our 1st Responders and Frontline Workers to show our appreciation for their tireless, dedicated efforts in keeping us safe from the COVID 19 pandemic. They were honoured with an official tribute that took place on our Affinity Credit Union Main Stage.

We hosted a Celebrity Karaoke charity event to raise funds for the STARS Air Ambulance organization. A big shout out to Gregger for organizing the event and to all our Media Personalities for singing their hearts out to raise funds for STARS!

Once again, Affinity Credit Union sponsored the Zero Waste component of our festival. We thank ACU for supporting our waste reduction at the festival.

We were extremely excited again to partner with the Saskatoon & District Lions Clubs. At Foodtruck Wars Street Festival, the Saskatoon District & Martensville Lions Clubs were selling 50/50 Raffle tickets in support of their many community projects.

We’re also happy to have our ever popular Pet Water Station on site. The water station was sponsored by DTNYXE and operated by Saskatoon Dog Rescue organization.

Back again were Your Saskatoon News as the Title Print Media sponsor and Saskatoon Media Group as the Title Radio Media sponsor. Their generous support and promotion helped to spread the word about our festival.

The Delta Bessborough was the official hotel of PlayNow Foodtruck Wars, offering special room rates for our festival vendors and out of town visitors.
