The 9th Annual PlayNow Foodtruck Wars Street Festival was held in downtown Saskatoon on July 27th, 28th and 29th.
Our family, pet, and environmentally friendly festival included food trucks, food trailers and food booths offering a wide variety of food, dessert and beverages. Also at the festival we had: a Pet Water Station, corporate sponsor booths, street market vendors, food-related competitions, taste-testing challenges, cultural dancing, and a table seating area.
We hosted an official ceremony on July 27th to honour our 2 Saskatonian Special Olympians that competed at the 2023 Berlin Special Olympics, Terra Dagenais and Ian Cushon both came home with medals! This tribute was to show our appreciation of Terra & Ian’s accomplishments.
PlayNow returned as our Title Sponsor! PlayNow is Saskatchewan’s safe and secure way to gamble online. PlayNow is owned and operated by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority.
We were pleased to have Affinity Credit Union’s continued partnership to make the PlayNow Foodtruck Wars Street Festival as environmentally sustainable as possible. Affinity organized all our festival Zero Waste Stations!
The Downtown Saskatoon BID partnered with us to provide festival attendees with the best festival experience possible. We invite you to visit the many businesses, restaurants and drinking establishments located in downtown Saskatoon.
The Lion Clubs of Saskatoon and Martensville sold 50/50 tickets during the festival to help the Lions continue their charitable work.
PlayNow Foodtruck Wars was pleased to have emcees Curtis Anderson & Gregger with guest emcee Ryan Flaherty joining us on Saturday to fill in for Curtis & Gregger.
We thank the City of Saskatoon for allowing the street closures to accommodate our festival site.
